Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG)

  • A 2020 CPG was developed from a consensus process on best practices for the chiropractic management of patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. For chronic tension headache, the authors recommended multiple (active, passive, physical and mind-body) treatment approaches. These include: education and advice about the condition, aerobic exercise, spinal manipulation, acupuncture, cold packs or menthol gels, cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation therapy, biofeedback and mindfulness meditation.
