Fibromyalgia

  • A 2910 systematic review and meta-analysis examined RCTs evaluating the effect of low level laser therapy (LLLT) on fibromyalgia. It found 9 RCTs, which included 325 fibromyalgia patients. The RCTs were of low-to-middle quality. When compared with exercise therapy alone, LLL plus exercise therapy had additional benefits in reducing the severity of pain, number of tender points and fatigue. The review concluded that LLLT is an effective, safe, and well-tolerated treatment for fibromyalgia.1
