  • A 2020 systematic review assessed the diagnostic accuracy of transcranial doppler (TCD) and transcranial color doppler (TCCD) in detecting intracranial large artery stenosis and occlusion in acute ischemic stroke patients. A total of 9 papers with a total of 493 patients were included. The studies compared the accuracy to magnetic resonance angiography, computed tomographic angiography, intra-arterial angiography, or contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography.
